Simon Says Stamp and Show - Wishing you happy homemade holidays!

Happy Holidays to all of you!!! We are taking a break from challenges this week at the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog, but I wanted to share a homemade project with you today. I made a mixed media board of our handsome cat Niko HERE, but really needed to complete the pair by making Mya's board. Here it is:

I don't know if I have shared this with you all or not, It was around this time two years ago that we lost our beloved Birman cat Emma...she was only 9 years old, we were still grieving. Finally this summer I felt ready to bring TWO Ragdoll kittens into our family...Mya and Niko.

These two cats really have completed our family more then we thought possible...little Mya is not the sharpest crayon in the pack...we have never had a "not so smart" pet before, so it really is teaching us patience and tolerance :) funny how pets really are a member of the family! Even our dog Roxy is beginning to interact with them, and not just tolerate them :)

I made the background a little more crazy then Niko's for that is how I see her mind lol! So far the Christmas tree is still standing...I was very worried about how the cats would react to it, but they are really very well behaved kittens :)

I know the rest of my team mates have some very special projects to share with you....so hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog to take a peek:)

Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays!! Hugs, TRace

This is awesome, I love this! Thanks for sharing the story and picture. Two really beautiful cats! Your piece is wonderful, I love how you mimicked your cats features and the bright and detailed background. Love how it is different but still complimentary to Nikos piece. Great job! Thanks for sharing!

I love this! I say this EXACT same thing to my tabby, Dodger. He, too, is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he's adorable! :-)

Your kitties are GORGEOUS, btw!!
