Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Thank-you

Good Monday morning! I am back with a dt card for Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge:  Thank-you. I love making Thank-you cards because you really can do any design you wish, and custom colour it to the recipient :) The person I have in mind for this loves soft and romantic, so that was my starting inspiration for this card.

I was totally in the mood to play with my Tim Holtz Distress Stains, and make up some of my own background papers....I think I could do this ALL day long :) I so wish someone would pay me to do that LOL! This is a fun and easy technique...just squeeze your stains onto a clear block....no need to cover the whole area.

Press it down onto watercolour paper, you will see the ink spread out and cover the paper....let it absorb for a minute or so, then lift up.

To help spread the ink a little more I often spritz it now with my perfect pearls powder in water mixture...it will give it a pretty shine too! Dry with a heat tool. Below are the two different colour combinations of stains, I used for each panel. You can put them in a heavy book for a few hours or overnight to flatten them.

My next step after they were dry and flat, was to stamp them with a couple of my favorite Impression-Obsession stamps in one of the same colours I used for the background, but of course using the ink pad.

For the roses, I die cut grunge board with my rolled roses die and applied Tim Holtz Crackle Paint.

After they were dry and rolled, I applied the pink colours of stain.

The frame was antiqued the same way with the Tim Holtz crackle paint in colour picket fence, and then I rubbed Inka Gold silver into the cracks and wiped of the excess.

I know you will want to join in on the fun over at Simon Says Stamp and Show , for one random player will win a $50 dollar store voucher courtesy of Simon Says Stamp :)
I am so looking forward to seeing all your creations! Thanks for visiting and have a great day! Hugs,
TRace :)
