Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Into the woods

Good Monday morning!!
I am here to today to share a card I have made for our latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show: Into the woods. Once again this challenge offer so many possibilities...just check out the awesome Dt inspiration!!!
Immediately I thought of my Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain stamp, but I wanted to challenge myself to make a "girly" card. Here it is:

I did a type of reverse inking with this stamp. First you generously apply ink to your paper....I just put the ink pad directly down and swept it over the paper a good few times.

Then you spritz your stamp with water and stamp it down on your inked paper, let it sit for a minute or so while applying pressure. When you lift up your stamp, you will have also "lifted" up some of the ink...so to speak, but not really...it is just the water reacting with the ink :)

The Lots of Hearts clear stamp set by Simon Says was the perfect match with the cute wood grain hearts :) To pump up the girly aspect I added a Die-namics flourish covered with Glossy Accents. It was cut from my stash of handmade papers using the "Resolve" method....you can find HERE.

I would love to see your take on the theme "into the woods", so pop on over to Simon Says Stamp and Show and link up your project :)

You could be the lucky random winner of a $50 dollar store voucher to use at Simon Says Stamp Superstore :) :) :)
Have a fantastic day! Hugs, TRace

Trace...your girly card using that wood grain stamp is cool! Love that reverse stamping technique where you inked the paper and then stamped with water. Very cool result. Your colorful hearts and flourish make great girly embellishments! <3 Candy

Hi Trace, love the wood grain in the background and the reverse stamping works beautifully. The pop of colour really is effective set against the dark background. Love it. Tracy x
