Good Monday morning!! I'm back with our latest Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge- Quotable. There are so many wonderful quotes floating around our social media world today....pinterest and facebook, just to name a few I find inspiration from :) The quote I have chosen is by Abraham Lincoln, I have loved it for quite some time! We actually have it on a art board in our basement, but I also wanted it in my art journal :)
To start the two page spread, I lay down quite a bit of Dylusions ink :)
Next, I sprayed water through a circle stencil.
You end up with this cool water mark effect :) I did do a little mistake in the bottom right corner...I don't like how it shows the edge of the stencil...I forgot to slightly lift the stencil up....that would of avoided this, OR you can mask off the edge like I have shown in the above photo.
Here I have traced inside one of my Dylusions stencils and then coloured in the leaves in with Faber-Castell Markers.
Here I have just gone a little wild and added more stamping and ink through stencils :)

I used my Copic markers on Neenah paper for the quote banner.
I had to add a little bit of sparkle :)

Trace...love your art journal pages! They look fantastic! I love your sentiment and how you've made it such a focal point of your pages ... front and center! :) The background looks amazing! I love the blended colors and the circles you've stenciled with water. I also love the traced leaves. They really pop off of the page and make a great "frame". <3 Candy
