Good morning to you all! I'm back today with a project for our latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show: Ever After. I was inspired by childhood memories of dressing up as a princess. I recall being a princess for Halloween at least a couple of times :) I came across a picture of myself from a girls scrap getaway where I always feel like a spoiled princess :) so I thought this would be fun to use in my art journal.
To start the blank page, I pulled inspiration from the photo....my red hair, the brown barn board in the background, and of course the tiara :)
Next I blended in Faber-Castell gold pastel crayon with my finger to give it a more monotone look...even though I love the initial inked page...I thought it was too busy looking.
Here is a peek at the journaling under the photo:
A close-up to show the effects of using molding paste through a stencil and then painting it gold with my Krylon gold leafing pen.
Every week for our challenges, Simon Says Stamp Superstore offers up a $50 dollar store voucher to one lucky random participant!!!
Please hop on over to Simon Says Stamp and Show and have a looky at all the DT inspiration....I known you will be inspired to join us :)
Have a fantastic day! Hugs, TRace
