Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Rustification

Good morning! I am back with my dt card for the latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show: Rustification.  When I initially thought about what I wanted to create for this theme, I immediately thought of a "manly" card. I decided to challenge myself and make a "girly" card in these colours....TOTALLY out of my comfort zone!

I decided to add a touch of orange here and there to "girly" it up.....hope that doesn't count as a cheat LOL!  I am pleasantly surprised that I am quite pleased with the final product!

Just a close-up to show the glitter/distressed embossed stamp image on velum....I really like the look using the velum....it seems more antique then plain white paper, and images seem to float...does that make sense? I did mix two different embossing powders to get the right rust colour I wanted, so don't be afraid to do so...just play and have fun!

I so hope you can play along with us this week at Simon Say Stamp and Show! There is a $50 dollar store voucher up for grabs to one random chosen participant from the oh so generous Simon Says Stamp. Have a great day! Hugs, TRace

Race, love the stamping on the vellum in the background, makes a beautiful backdrop for your luscious flowers. Love the Dahlia die you added behind your flower adding another layer of interest. Love the lace too. Beautiful. Tracy x

Out of your element...I don't think so. As I see it your element is making beautiful pieces and this is just one more example of that. Really love it as you know these are my colors...welcome to my color world. LOL. Happy Thanksgiving too.
