Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Studio 490

Good morning!! Today in our Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Studio 490 we are showcasing product and techniques of Wendy Vecchi!!! I am in such awe of her work and style...I choose to be inspired by her technique of colouring dried molding paste with Tim Holtz Distress markers...you can see it HERE. I changed it up a bit and used Faber-Castell markers.

This is my finished board. Below, I have a mini tutorial on the process.

The background paper was handmade using Dylusions inks, Resolve, and watercolour paper.....you can see the technique tutorial post HERE.
I adhered it to a board and added a few stencils with pan pastels for added depth and colour.

Here I have added Golden molding paste through TCW stencils and started to colour the dried areas with my Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens...very easy to do!

To finish it up I added these awesome Blossom Bucket hearts from Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 line....LOVE these to bits!!!, a sentiment from a Dylusions stamp set, a little glitter to the petals and leaves, and white paint splatters to the background.
Thanks Wendy for the wonderful inspiration!!!

Please join us this week Simon Says Stamp and Show and be inspired by Wendy Vecchi and the rest of the DT!! One lucky participant will be the winner of a $50 dollar store voucher from Simon Says Stamp :)Wendy Vecchi will be joining us as a guest designer this week, and you are going to be treated to two exclusive tutorials throughout the week...so check in frequently at the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog:)
Have a fabulous day! Hugs, TRace
