Hero Arts Trimmings challenge

I just loved the colours Lucy has chosen for her first challenge!!! Pink, Aqua and Kraft...can it get any better!!! I also used Sketch #93 from Got Sketch for both of these cards. In case you are interested the bottom blue panel on the above card, it was obtained in a few steps: First I embossed the white cardstock with CG123 Flower Wallpaper in Zing white embossing powder. Then I inked up paper with Hero Arts Soft Pool ink, and I picked the flowers I wanted to remain that colour and applied glue to them with a glue pen. Then I added clear embossing powder and heated. The glue gives it a whitish-blue colour. Then I inked the whole paper with Distress blue china ink by Ranger. I once again coloured in the darker flowers with an embossing pen, and clear embossed these images. Last step was to add Distress shabby shutters ink by Ranger for some added depth. Hope this all makes sense? LOL!

I had been saving every little strip of paper FOREVER!!!!! I have Scottish blood in my veins! LOL!! Finally a challenge and sketch where I could use them up!!!! Also had the tree image, red glitter snowflake, and glitter M lying around on my desk from last weeks glitter challenge. I just can't seem to stop using GLITTER... Have I mentioned how much I LOVE glitter!!!!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic day! I'm off to hit the bike trainer for 30 mins ahhhhh.

Those are both gorgeous! Thanks for the details on the blue piece on the first one, it looks wonderful! That's a great idea about using the glue pen, I'm adding that to my "remember to do this" list.
