HERO ARTS 2010 CATALOG BLOG HOP

WELCOME to the Hero Arts Blog Hop!!!! I am sure you are having a wonderful time seeing all the stamp reveals for the new 2010 catalog!!!

Up first I want to show you this CG 140 POPPY BACKGROUND. I wanted to highlight it's beauty, so I kept the surrounding papers muted, but still managed to incorporate a few of my favorite Hero Arts background stamped images :)

For the stamped image I began by inking a white cardstock in various shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks....tattered rose, worn lipstick, fired brick, spiced marmalade and dried marigold. Then it was spritzed with water mixed with a few drops of Ranger's Perfect Pearls in colour Opal. Then the coloured background was stamped with the Poppy image inked in aged mahogany. I can envision so many different colour combos to use with this poppy stamp...I could play for hours and hours with it!!!!

Hero Arts stamps: CG140 Poppy Background, CG119 Flourish Background, S5264 Antique Flower Background, and CL140 Thinking of You Messages.
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger
Paper: Bo Bunny
Pearls: Hero Arts
Buttons: Basic Grey
Ribbon: Martha Stewart
Punch: Fiskars
Buttons: unknown

As soon as I saw this new set CL401 SPECKLED ORNAMENTS, I knew it could also work really would well for a "manly" card. I used a subtle lined paper to act as a guide for my stamping....easy peasy :)

The stamp images were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in colour broken china, and stamped onto the grid paper. Then the image was heat embossed with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing powder in colour peeled paint. After it cooled, the "release" crystals were rubbed off revealing some of the inked colour underneath. I love the matte look and when you rub the crystals off they leave a little colour behind on your paper for that perfect distressed look :)

Hero Arts Stamps: CL401 Speckled Ornaments and CL342 Everyday Sayings.
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink by Ranger
Paper: Papertry Ink, Making Memories and Bazzil
Buttons: Basic Grey
Punch: Fiskars
Misc twine and ribbon

CL 381 SWEET WONDERFUL YOU
Look at this set!!!! Oh my.....I was soooo excited to pull out my Copics and colour! I had so much fun colour coordinating her outfit to the background image that I had also coloured with my Copics. Prisma's would work so well too!!

CL380 TRULY APPRECIATED I also fell deeply in LOVE with this sentiment set, I just LOVE how they mixed the font style and size! AND those cute flowers too!!! It will be PERFECT for so many cards!!!

Hero Arts stamps: CL381 Sweet Wonderful You, CG123 Flower Wallpaper, CL380 Truly Appreciated, and K5107 Screen Shadow.
Ink: Memento rich cocoa, Tim Holtz, and Copics.
Paper: PTI and Bazzil
Brads: Basic Grey
Punch: Fiskars

Well... that's it for me, hope you all are enjoying the journey :) Your next stop is to visit the oh so talented Shari Carroll!!! http://shari-design.blogspot.com/2009/12/hero-arts-blog-hop-with-shari.html
