My road trip vacation to visit Kathy

Hubby and I set out on our road trip last Friday.....our goal was to visit with my SISTA Kathy. She lives about 12 hours away, and while there participate in a Triathlon.

Our drive down was pretty uneventful...hubby and I had time to talk....and talk and talk....I think he was really glad to arrive at our first hotel destination LOL! The next morning I discovered my bike was having some technical difficulties....so off we headed to the bike shop to get her fixed....delaying my visit with Kathy :(

We finally arrived at Kathy's late in the afternoon, she and her hubby were the most gracious and generous hosts for the next three days.

Here is a pic of Gordo and I just after the race... I am so proud of him, for he won third place in his age group...I had fun LOL!!

The following day Kathy, Gord and I enjoyed "lunching" and window shopping.

The next night the four of us went out for the famous blue crabs!! Oh my......we ate 21 of these!!!
Look how messy our table is hahahaha!!

We arrived home exhausted but renewed....vacation is always good for the soul, and to meet with your soul SISTA just makes it that much more special!! Speaking of special.....you MUST check out Kathy's blog....she is one TALENTED lady and she is also giving away the most AMAZINGLY generous blog anniversary prize!!!! Check it our HERE!!
Thanks for letting me share the most wonderful road trip vacation!

My heart aches and Card Patterns Sketch #57

Well this has been a REALLY tough week....we had to put our 9 year old Birman cat down due to kidney failure...oh man that was one of the hardest thing to do!...she was my crafting buddy, my bed mate, and reading companion. Telling my 17 year old daughter who the cat was like a sibling to her and her baby was the next hardest thing I have ever had to do :(

Luckily I had already made this card ahead of time.

This weeks sketch at Card Patterns is a "goodie" and this week is being sponsored by HERO ARTS!!!! My most favorite stamp company EVER!!!

One random participant who uploads their card to Mr. Linky HERE will win both of these stamps sets!!!! Lucky duck!!!

Here is the wonderful and versatile sketch:

I almost always follow the sketch for I find it much easier...I am not that creative , but this week is probably the furthest I have stretched it LOL! I really enjoyed colouring the Say Hello set CL378 with my Copics!!! I also tried the "masking" technique which I think I have ever only done once before....looking at the picture now I think I should have made the mask smaller!! Oh well live and learn, I just have to remember it the next time....that is the hard part LOL!

Supplies:
Hero Arts stamps: CL378 Say Hello, S5215 Clouds, and CG119 Flourish Background.
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress inks in colours tumbled glass for the clouds, peeled paint and crushed olive for the grass.
Copics.

Thanks for stopping by.....
