Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Mad Tea Party

Good morning :) I'm here today to share a DT project for our latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show:  Mad Tea Party. It is a NO RULES week! For me, the theme of Mad Tea Party evokes visions of Alice in Wonderland with all sorts of crazy unexpected elements; and a whole bunch of bright and wild colours!!! So I ran with that thought and came up with this tag:) I little more simple then I first envisioned, but I am happy with it :)

 
I think you all know my routine now.....LOL....I started with some home made paper :) I really could spend all day playing with ink sprays and making papers. Just need someone to pay me to do this :) You can see a mini tutorial HERE. This time I used a laundry whitener rather then sea salt, and you get a whole bunch of new colours because of it YAY!!! A brighter paper :)

I actually create my papers on 11 X 15 inch watercolour papers, and cut out what I need from them. "go big or go home" right???  For this project I will glue it on a # 10 manila tag.

 

I LOVE hand dying my ribbon to match :)



I just had to add some sparkle...

Initially I planned to cover the whole tag with doodles, but again I did not want to hide the pretty background :) I still may go back and add a few small ones though lol.

Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge...take 2 :)

Good afternoon....I just had to use up some of the pretty embellishments I had made for my other card today :)...and came up with this very CAS card for me....not my usual style...but I like it :)  I am entering it in Papertrey's Ink December 2012 Blog Hop Challenge where our inspiration this month is white on white....well mine are a little muddled, but I think still evokes the same tone on tone feel :)
