While I was outside taking a picture of this card, my dog Roxy joined me...patiently waiting for me to throw her a stick to fetch :)

Embellish Challenge....Background stamping with Hero Arts :)

Good morning!!!

Being a huge fan of Hero Arts...I had to play along with the latest Embellish Challenge of Background stamping.

Here is my card:

Besides from the obvious orange embossed background stamp, I have added a few other less obvious background stamps to the leaves and the flower just to give them some added interest :)

I think background stamps are the type of stamp I have the most of....I just LOVE to create my own patterned papers while playing with ink and embossing powder :)

I have some personal news to share....my baby girl officially graduated from College today. She graduated with Honors and received an award for the second highest mark in scaling...she found out today that she also passed her board exam so she is now a registered Dental Hygienist :) Momma is so proud!!!!...she only turned 19 this past May, so I think this is a huge accomplishment!

Unfortunately....I needed to make a sympathy card for my friend Beth...her mom passed away.
I am a HUGE fan of Tami Hartley and I have been wanting to CASE and try a technique by Tami Hartley for some time now...you can check it out HERE.

I have use the colour stories from two challenges....Color Throwdown #143 and Totally Hues Challenge #7. They are so pretty?!!!

Just wanted to show you all a close-up picture to show panel....I did alter Tami's technique a bit. After covering the stamped inked panel with UTEE, I spritzed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  While it was still wet I got out the heat gun and dried it....it kinda melted into the UTEE...LOVE the look!

Flashback Friday Challenge

Oh what a fun challenge happening over at Flashback Friday Challenge blog....to post your "first wedding card"...we me it is my one and only too LOL!!! I'm at that age where my friends are all married and our children are still too young :) Things should change real quick in about 5 years....I should start getting some more cards ready now!!! I made this card Feb 2010 and gave it to a co-worker at my husbands work, who was getting married that summer. This card eventually did go to a married couple that I now call my friends :)
