HERO ARTS 2010 CATALOG RELEASE cont. :)

I had made a few more cards for the Hero Arts Blog Hop....just could not include so many on that day, so here they are today :)

A "manly" card using the new Speckled Ornaments set. I see sooo many possibilities with this set....could easily be very girly with pinks and reds....oh I see lots of playing when I get back from my vacation :)

Hero Arts stamps: CL401 Speckled Ornaments. Sentiment is from the CL342 Everyday Saying set...I use this one all the time!!!

Inks: Tim Holtz Distress ink in Peeled Paint with embossing powder over top in Distress Vintage Photo...when you rub of the "excess" crystals they leave a little colour on the background paper...perfect for the distress look! I added a tiny bit of Frayed Burlap around the edges.

Paper: Making Memories and PTI.

Buttons: Basic Grey

Misc ribbon and twine.

Another card using the Sweet Wonderful You set, this time I used the two other girls in the set. I am really loving this set....normally I do not do "cute" BUT I am now!!!!!!! They are a perfect fit for all the background stamps I already own!

These little girls were so much fun to colour with my Copics and Prisma's. Glossy Accents to add a little shine here and there :)

Hero Arts stamps: CL381 Sweet Wonderful You , CL380 Truly Appreciated, CG123 Flower Wallpaper, and CG119 Flourish Background.

Tim Holtz Distress Inks for background behind girls in colour Worn Lipstick. Ink: Memento in Rich Cocoa.

Scallop borders: created with Fiskars punch.

Paper: Bo Bunny and PTI.

Misc ribbon.

THANKS for visiting:)

Have a wonderful day!!!

HERO ARTS 2010 CATALOG BLOG HOP

WELCOME to the Hero Arts Blog Hop!!!! I am sure you are having a wonderful time seeing all the stamp reveals for the new 2010 catalog!!!

Up first I want to show you this CG 140 POPPY BACKGROUND. I wanted to highlight it's beauty, so I kept the surrounding papers muted, but still managed to incorporate a few of my favorite Hero Arts background stamped images :)

For the stamped image I began by inking a white cardstock in various shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks....tattered rose, worn lipstick, fired brick, spiced marmalade and dried marigold. Then it was spritzed with water mixed with a few drops of Ranger's Perfect Pearls in colour Opal. Then the coloured background was stamped with the Poppy image inked in aged mahogany. I can envision so many different colour combos to use with this poppy stamp...I could play for hours and hours with it!!!!

Hero Arts stamps: CG140 Poppy Background, CG119 Flourish Background, S5264 Antique Flower Background, and CL140 Thinking of You Messages.
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger
Paper: Bo Bunny
Pearls: Hero Arts
Buttons: Basic Grey
Ribbon: Martha Stewart
Punch: Fiskars
Buttons: unknown

As soon as I saw this new set CL401 SPECKLED ORNAMENTS, I knew it could also work really would well for a "manly" card. I used a subtle lined paper to act as a guide for my stamping....easy peasy :)

The stamp images were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in colour broken china, and stamped onto the grid paper. Then the image was heat embossed with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing powder in colour peeled paint. After it cooled, the "release" crystals were rubbed off revealing some of the inked colour underneath. I love the matte look and when you rub the crystals off they leave a little colour behind on your paper for that perfect distressed look :)

Hero Arts Stamps: CL401 Speckled Ornaments and CL342 Everyday Sayings.
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink by Ranger
Paper: Papertry Ink, Making Memories and Bazzil
Buttons: Basic Grey
Punch: Fiskars
Misc twine and ribbon

Hero Arts Tags Challenge

These two tags were so fun to make, I used all left over bits and pieces :)
My plan was to attach them to our Christmas gifts, but we just booked a last minute trip to Cuba for our Christmas gift and we will be away over Christmas. I'm really excited...I have NEVER done anything like this so last minute, I usually plan our trips MONTHS or years in advance :) Also...we won't be following our tradition of cutting down the Christmas tree, so I am a little sad about that. Maybe I'll take these along and hang them on a palm tree LOL!
Have a great Sunday!
TRace
